Christian Temperament Counseling takes us into the Word of God. Psalm 139 tells us we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are unique creations of God made in his image unlike anything in all His creation and yet you may find yourself not believing anything about you is special. Discovering who you are and the unique needs and tendencies that God created in the seed of you can be a life-long arduous journey. Christian temperament counseling is for anyone who wants to truly discover all the unique parts of who God created within them and why they think, do and say what they do. We will look at the whole being. The focus is working towards finding the balance needed to restore the proper functioning to all three parts of your being: body, soul and spirit.
Christian temperament counseling is based on God’s Holy Word; all guidance, teaching and counsel is based on the saving grace of Jesus Christ and the wisdom He alone can give us through His Word.
Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. John 17:17
Why Christian Temperament Counseling?
Temperament Counseling is based on utilizing the Arno Profile System (A.P.S.) from the National Christian Counselor’s Association. The A.P.S. gives a clear and accurate understanding of your temperament; of who God created in you. It tells the unique needs and tendencies that each of us have. It will also show the potential areas of conflict within ourselves and with others.
It is the hope that you…
Find out why some people push your “buttons”.
Discover what may be blocking you in your spiritual growth.
Get “unstuck” and uncover the truth of who you are.
Be enlightened on why you get angry, frustrated, depressed and where your behaviors are coming from?
Learn how Jesus Christ connects to all of our issues and is our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.
As a Christ-follower, it is commanded that we love our neighbors as ourselves and forgive as I have been forgiven. Therefore, all will be treated with the love and grace that God’s power gives me.
